The Health and Safety Forum of the event included an invited presentation by Director of MPA Lime, Mike Haynes, on Safer by Sharing. 

The presentation communicated the message that all those working in the international lime industry will collectively benefit by engagement with the process of open sharing of safety alerts, at least at national level, between trade associations and among their members. 

Alerts can be anonymised in the process as the key purpose is to share the facts about the incident to alert the industry to the issue that has, or could have, caused an injury. The SafeQuarry website featured as an example of the type of platform to achieve the objective of open safety resource sharing, to help delivery of improved safety performance in the minerals industry.
